Whitey Lee Park, spanning approximately 20 acres, offers outdoor activities such as fishing, a picnic pavilion, a walking trail, and a Community House. The park, which includes a lake stocked with catfish and bream, was donated to the City of Monroeville, Alabama, by the Vanity Fair Foundation and created under the direction of M.O. “Whitey” Lee, a resident of Monroeville, a trustee for the Foundation and Chairman of VF Corporation until his death on March 5, 1962.
Feeding ducks at the lake is a popular activity for visitors.
The lake is stocked with catfish and bream. Fishing is permitted for people under the age of 15 and over 60.
