“The Original” Soggy Bottom Lodge was constructed by Cliff Turnipseed with Turnipseed Construction from Aliceville, Ala. The lodge has received nothing but great comments from everyone that sets foot inside. From its old Coke-container constructed cabinets to the wrap around front porch, it is no doubt one of the nicest places to stay. Built from wood and tin salvaged from an old barn, it is truly a work of art.
A destintation in its own right, the lodge is now being offered for parties, corporate meetings, or just a great weekend getaway. It has large beds that sleep up to 18 or more if guests would like the kids to spread out on the couches. The lodge includes WiFi, Satellite TV, Surround Sound System, large dining room table that seats 14 (more can be added), an outdoor dining area that can seat 30-40 with a large well-lit porch/roof, grills, and an outdoor kitchen. Interested parties can call and customize any event they have in mind to fit their needs.
Soggy Bottom Lodge’s Shack 33 is described as an ideal event location for large groups or a couples’ getaway. The view and surrounding amenities are breathtaking. Shack 33 has 7 bedrooms and 39 beds, a huge porch that accommodates over 80 people, a large hibachi grill, a flat top, and a built-in grill and fryer. Visitors are encouraged to contact the lodge to schedule a tour.
Soggy Bottom Lodge has it all. Big bucks and gorgeous green fields, comfortable duck blinds with mallards, turkeys galore, angry largemouth bass, and what many describe as, “the greatest hunting lodge ever seen.” Every aspect of Soggy Bottom is designed to stand out – the reason is simple, Soggy Bottom wants you to have the time of your life and make memories that will last you a lifetime.
