Oyster Ridge is 1,600 acres of outdoor paradise located in the heart of the Black Belt. When row crops began to fade away, pine trees soon took their place on the family farm. Today, there are 1,300 acres of loblolly and longleaf pine trees. The rest of the acreage is for foodplots for deer and grain fields for dove, turkey, and quail. Oyster Ridge offers hunting and fishing trips, birdwatching, four wheeler rides, and youth/business retreats at the cabin, the opportunities are endless.
Oyster Ridge wants everyone to be able to experience the Black Belt and what it has to offer. When you step into the bottom below the cabin, you will understand where the name “Oyster Ridge” comes from. It is littered with thousands and thousands of 65 million year old fossilized oyster shells. They truly are a thing of beauty and will make you appreciate the diversity of the Black Belt and what we have to offer even more.
