The Heiberger access is a dirt ramp just upstream from the Heiberger bridge on the left bank of the river, accessible by a short dirt drive from Perry County Road 49.  There is parking for about five cars.

Heiberger is a small unincorporated community located in Perry County, Alabama. It has a population of around 200 people and is known for its rural, peaceful setting. The community is primarily residential, with a few small businesses and churches.
