Join the Selma Rising Mural Festival, a community art experience like no other! Throughout the day, artists and residents will come together to create eight murals in one location—each representing one of Selma’s eight wards. After being displayed together for a year, the murals will find permanent homes across the city, one in each ward.

The festival is free and open to everyone—all ages and abilities are welcome! Paint supplies and aprons will be provided, so just wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little colorful.

A closing ceremony will take place at 6 p.m., celebrating the community’s creativity and collaboration.

Hosted by MACAS, the event aims to use public art as a bridge to bring people together, enrich Selma with beauty, and inspire compassion.
